Tucked away until next year
Like most things in life, there are opposing views of the proper time to put up and take down Christmas decorations. I am firmly in the camp that says the weekend after Thanksgiving is the best time to put them up and the day after Christmas is the best time to take them down. Most of my family do not agree. But, they don't do the decorating!

I like to decorate the Sunday after Thanksgiving and take down after New Years. This year I managed to get the tree up on that Sunday and continued to decorate through out the week and now I'm starting the taking down and I'm sure it will take another week...all the while the corgis watch and make not comment either way ; )
Corgis are nice that way, aren't they?--never offering unwanted opinions! When my mother was a child in the teens and 20's, they didn't put the tree up until Christmas Eve and never would have dreamed of taking it down before Epiphany on January 6.
