Cloudy skies

We have a mildly cloudy sky here this morning in the foothills outside San Diego.

It is worth taking a photo of because it is rare here!  We can easily go nine months without a drop of rain!  Usually, if we don't have a clear sky,  we have a marine layer referred to by the weather folks as "night and morning low clouds."

But, these lovely clouds are not marine layer, so I couldn't help but notice them.

They also aren't the clouds those of you who live on the East coast are seeing or will be seeing soon as Irene continues toward you.

Be safe!
