I have a cold -- just enough of one that I didn't go on my Saturday morning walk with my friends Jane and Liz; just enough of one that I don't feel like hosting a birthday party; and, just enough of one that no one would want me hosting a birthday party!
So, we've postponed the Second Annual (we hope) Mother and Child Reunion cum Birthday Party until next weekend.
I only have one photo to share and it isn't a very good one except that it is, I think, a good example of how animals can control space.
Pumpkin has just resignedly stretched out on the floor after whining for a minute or two because Harry was standing in the doorway she needed to use to follow Darby into the other room.
Harry stayed put and so did Pumpkin for several minutes until Glenn came in the back door and Harry moved to greet him and Pumpkin was able to escape!
Bonnie used to control this doorway a lot, and Darby would not jump over or go around her -- not even to come when called. Not even when I teased her with a tennis ball!
I wish I could control this cold, but I guess I just have to follow Pumpkin's lead and stop whining about it and resign myself to it!

This happens in my house every day - lots of interspecies dynamics.
Feel better.
We hope you're feeling better. We used to know a labrador who cried pitifly when the cat got in his bed.

Wow, I hope you feel better really soon. Sickies are the worst. Mom always says she hates it when her snot-locker gets out of control! BOL BWAR HAR Anyway, love this pix. That cat is totally in control and knows it! Mom used to have a parakeet that would guard her dog's dish and the dog couldn't get a drink until the bird moved! Funny stuff. We can always tell who's really in charge! Take care and get well.
Grr and Woof,

I'm so sorry to hear about your cold. What awful timing!
I think you deserve double the presents since you had to postpone your party! :)
Hope you are feeling better real soon ! Just LOVE the Darby's 2 years old "retrospective" pics !!!
My cold is much better, thank you very much! Sarge, you made me think of my father and brother (both gone, sadly) when you wrote "snot-locker." That was a favorite expression of those two career Marines!
