Poor Glenn! He has waged a war against gophers since we moved into this house 13 years ago!
He can't use traps or poison because of the dogs. His only defense is vibrating gopher sticks buried along the back fence. I don't think that defense is working.
Maybe the sticks need new batteries...

Hi! Darby! It's me Buddy,
Poor humans. I get that gopher thing. We don't have as nice a back yard as you do so I have lots of holes to step over. I would catch them if I could. Saw a cat with one in his mouth yesterday. My person was torn between sympathy and one less gopher thoughts. Have a nice weekend.
Luv,
Buddy
Oh man, those vibrating gopher things never seem to work!! You should train the girls to be gopher hunters!!
poor you! they are very reluctant guests to leave! hoping you find some perfect solution that works down the road (I like what Amy said about training those corgis to be gopher hunters)

Hi,
Sammy here. My human just read a blurb on how to stop gophers. She got it in a newspaper and just glanced at it since it was selling a book. But maybe it will work!
Soak dryer sheets in ammonia and drop in the tunnel. Seal the tunnels (I guess with the dirt they mounded up) Sounds too simple, but maybe it will work.
Sammy
Thanks for the sympathy and the suggestions. I'm going tomorrow to buy some ammonia. I think dryer sheets in the runs will be easier than training the girls! I'll try that next!
I was gone for five days and there are three more areas that look as bad as or worse than the one in these photos.
