I've never seen a cardinal in real life before. But, Erika has -- as of this last weekend when this one showed up after that big snow storm on the East Coast.

Hi! Darby's human! Buddy's busy with his "supper" bowl so I thought I'd say Hi! and say thanks to Erika. I'm from back east long years ago and I remember those beautiful birds. That's why I was a Cardinal baseball fan when I was a kid. Haven't seen one for along time.
How pretty! When we lived in Iowa there was a cardinal that would land outside my bedroom window. It eluded me and my camera for MONTHS before I finally snapped a picture of it!
How fun, Amy! I'm envious of you and Erika--getting to see cardinals in real life. (Don't tell her I said so, but your photo is better! I guess she does have the disadvantage of having only her phone camera!)
