I know this isn't a knitting blog

I know this isn't a knitting blog, but I just finished knitting the cutest little bandana cowl designed by the folks over at The Purl Bee.
When my nephew was teaching in England the summer before last, he picked up a ball of the most luscious yarn I've seen in a long time, Rowan's "Lima."  It is light and airy, soft and warm, but not too warm for very southern, Southern California.  Like knitters often do, I hoarded the ball of yarn until I found just the right project and the bandana cowl fit the bill.

I wanted to take a photo to send to my nephew but didn't really want to model,  so, of course I thought of the girls:
"Girlfriend!  If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times, if you weren't so eager to please The One Who Feeds Us, she'd stop humiliating you this way."
"All you have to do the next time she tries something cute (not!) like this, is roll over on your back like you're afraid she's gonna kill, you then squirm around until she gives up.  Works for me every time! I kinda like this yarn, though.  It's really soft and airy. Smells good, too. Like sheep."

Hey Darby!
Wow, you're a beautiful model for your Mom's pretty project! I love the color and I bet it's really soft and cozy. Sometimes there's benefit in allowing these things to happen...ask for treats!! BOL

Darby does look a little embarrassed--ears down; but the's a great model. That bandana is going to feel good on those cool mornings. Maybe you should make Mother/pup outfits!
