Households where corgis live have hair season. Some would say it is hair season year-round in these households, but I would argue that there are distinct seasons. At least that has been my experience.
And, one of those hair seasons is in full swing at our house right now.

I vacuumed no less than three days ago AND have been regularly brushing the girls as part of my "Knitting with Corgis" project.
And STILL the hair comes!

When I was pleading my "I will be a good Corgi mom" case with Kim and Leda of Coedwigs, I was careful to mention that I had experienced hair season while visiting my daughter and her corgi and knew what I was getting into! Well, I thought, I knew. But, hair season is like New York City--visiting it is one thing, living in it is another!

Good luck with the mud season. We don't have a fix for that!
It is mud and ice season here today. A nice 43 degree sunny day, melting the snow, thawing the dirt, and making a mess! The backyard is off limits and probably will be for a long time to come. Every night the snow melt freezes back into ice making for some treacherous footing! Can't be having any fraps on the ice!
We have hair season every single day! It does get worse when they switch between winter and summer coats, but in general there are always tumbleweeds being formed. John is a neak-freak and it drives him nuts!
Hmmm, it's like looking in a mirror.
What's the saying? No outfit is complete without dog hair.
We scotties, don't shed (much) so we don't have that problem.....however, mud, and dragging in flora from outside is another matter.

Have you thought of stuffing quilts with Corgi fur?
We find Gus's hair everywhere...we feel your pain. We don't want to even know how much Gus hair we've consumed over the years. Eeek!
P.S. The last photo is absolutely precious. The red/white checks brings out the pink in Pumpkin's nose. :)
Lori, I've wondered about consuming dog hair. I've read that we consume a few spiders during our lifetimes when they crawl too close when we're snoring away but I've always doubted that -- wouldn't there be something left in the morning? I've never had any spider legs in my mouth upon waking! Buddy's human, thanks for the link. Oh, my! Those dog hair sweaters are really something. I think I'll go for mittens or maybe a contrasting cuff on mittens. I've heard that Scotties don't shed, Daisy. But you are right about your hair collecting stuff--I've seen photographic proof on your blog! (-: Taryn I hope your mud season doesn't last too long, but I hear you are in for more snow on Thursday. I kinda like Wyatt's suggestion about the plastic wrap, I'm going to have to think about that...
