We NEVER get color like this

We have lived in this house for 13 years now and all the trees in the following photos were planted within the first year or so of our moving in. This is the first time they have put on a show like this.  All over town, the trees that change color all look like they are on fire.  (The trees are all non-natives, of course--almost nothing native to San Diego county is this pretty!  Remember, if it weren't for water piped and canal-ed hundreds of miles from the Colorado river, San Diego would be a scrubby desert.)
