Pumpkin Day Dreaming

I was just browsing through the Pumpkin-girl photos Leda has sent me; day dreaming about when I can get my mitts on that freckled belly!
I wish we could drive to Arkansas to pick her up!   It's hard waiting!

But, waiting for cool-enough-to-fly weather means she will be pretty much "potty trained" by the time she gets here.

Whoo hoo!

That's almost priceless!

There is a lot to be said for having your puppy arrive already potty trained!

How old is Pumpkin now?

The longer you wait, the better off she probably will be (more mom time is always good) :) Plus, you may get to skip some vet visits you'd have to pay for! Always look on the bright side... ;)

If I'm counting correctly, Pumpkin is 10 weeks old--she was born 5/29.

There are a lot of bright sides to look at with this arrangement! Good breeders sure make a difference. (Leda is keeping one of Pumpkin's siblings, too, until weather is cool enough to fly him to Las Vegas.)

Sammy here--

Have you discussed this situation with Darby? Or are you going to spring it on her unexpectedly?

I hope you are telling her that she is still the number one Cardigan and that it is her job to train the new one.

Hey, Sammy.

That's good--looking out for your sis that way. Last night when I was cuddling with Darby on the sofa (remember when I worried she wouldn't cuddle with me?) I told Glenn that I felt sorry for Darby because she didn't know what was in store for her! Bonnie is more of a loner--she sometimes comes over for snuggling, but usually she is happy on "her" end of the sofa--as long as I am in the room. Darby is definitely a velcro dog when it comes to me--unless she is very warm, she is next to me, on me, or resting some part of her on me.

Your human mom said I could send Pumpkin a fleece pad that Glenn and I and then Darby slept with so Pumpkin would know our smells when she gets here. Maybe, your human mom will send a towel or something that smells like Pumpkin so Darby will "recognize" her when she gets here.

I promise to love them both! Your sis is in good hands!
