Some places have mud season...
Some places that get a lot of snow and/or rain call later winter/early spring "mud season." Homes with Corgis call this time of year "hair season"

Just took a look at Pumpkin's mom Vickie and guess what--she has tufts coming out in the same exact area. Like mother, like daughter!

You're right about the hairs, Daisy! Leda, I think Pumpkin looks a lot like her mama -- or at least she did when she was a puppy. I've brushed all those tufts and more have taken their place!
