It's on its way

The best season in my book (in spite of fire threat) is Autumn.  And it's looking like it is on its way.

Fog in the valleys and brown, crispy hills (in contrast with the green avocado grove)

The leaves on our beloved Cottonwood tree are slowly turning -- see those yellow ones, here and there?

The girls don't know that cooler weather is on the way, but they will like it when it arrives.  Our neighbors Cottonwood tree is putting on a show earlier than ours.

Liquidambar is getting ready.  

Although the days are still very warm, there is a coolness in the air every morning now when I step outside with the girls.  Autumn is on it's way.  It really is!
