Like daughter, like mother

So, I wasn't content to let Erika get something new for her kitchen -- her new, wood-look floor, shown here with the finishing touches being handled by her husband:

without getting something new for MY kitchen, too!

A new pantry with useful, accessible U-shaped shelves to replace this uselessly, frustratingly, forget-about-foodstuffs-until-they-go-out-of-code-deep cupboard that the builder called a "pantry cabinet:"

So that means OUR house is now torn up, just as Erika is putting hers back together again.

The girls enjoyed nosing around the partially demo'd area this evening.

I'm going to enjoy putting away all this mess when the pantry is finished!

Wow, what a great project! Anything that helps with the foodables is a good thing. Glad to see the girls supervising so well.

We've got one of those long narrow pantries that you can't reach, too.

We know the girls will ensure the job is done correctly. Great snoopervision, P & D.
