Baby birds

These photos have nothing to do with Darby, but they are too cute not to share.

The poor parents fly back and forth all day long stuffing goodies into those gaping, peeping mouths!  The babies are so loud we can hear them in the house!  This is the third batch being raised in this gourd this year.  A similar gourd hung in this same tree for about 6 years before it cracked.  Every year it was home to at least two or three clutches.  The birds seem to like the new gourd as well as the old one!

how adorable! and what an interesting nest. Never saw a gourd one before!! but I think it suits the purpose of a nest very well!! isn't that how it is with all young ones, parents are always at their beck and call meeting their needs :)

(kind of like meeting the needs of a corgi, I think :)

enjoy the day!

What great pictures! I will have to show my daughter your sweet corgis.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I am sorry for the "tumbleweeds" on my site. I hope to get back to painting when school starts in a few short weeks.
