Fall

Fall is pomegranate time.

Our tree is full of lovely, red Christmas-ornament like fruit.  Some of them are edible at this point, but they won't be at their best for a few more weeks.

This year there might be enough for both the squirrels and us to enjoy.

Last year this month, we used pomegranates to decorate the tables for the night-before-Erika's-and-Christian's-wedding party.
It's hard to believe a year has gone by since the wedding.  Darby was just a pup--confined to our bedroom where she pooped on the floor in multiple places!*

Ah!  Memories of pomegranate season!

* If Glenn were inclined to read my blog, he would say "Now, why did you have to go and mention that?" It's nice that after 28 years of marriage I am still a "wonder" to him.  Hee hee.

Sammy here,

Oh my PA is jealous. She loves pomegranates. When they finally show up in the store she buys 3 or 4 at a time and eats them. Her roommate thinks she is nuts. I haven't tried them, but I would probably like them to as I like anything that is edible (and sometimes not edible.

Sammy.

P.S. Pumpkin had her last puppy shot today. Does that mean she isn't a puppy anymore???? I hear Bailey and Pumpkin will be getting their rabies this week.

Awww! Not a real puppy anymore! I can't wait to meet the Pumpkin-girl. Tell your PA to check her spam mailbox for a cute Bailey cartoon I made with Photo-shop Express on my iPad. I made one of Darby, too, and sent it to myself. It didn't show up, so I checked spam and it was there.

The last two years we had so many poms that I put baskets full on our mailbox for the neighbors. Glenn wants me to make pom jelly, but I'm too lazy.

Sammy here,

Well, I think you should make some, since he is going to let Pumpkin come and live with you. (You could also make some for my PA, I bet she would like it and maybe she would let me lick the spoon :-))

Hi! Buddy and I had business to take care of and have been off for awhile and look what we missed!
Love the pomegranates, love the pictures! Especially the one of the gorgeous puppies. That little Pumpkin is beautiful. Bet you can't wait to get your hands on her! She is adorable! And, of course, Bailey. Takes me down memory lane and my precious Beau! They look so much alike!
Have a happy Sunday!
