Papa Bear Said

Papa Bear said, "Who's been sitting in my chair?"

Only last week did Darby figure out she can jump up on the furniture. Now, I need to teach her she can do so only when invited.

I second the above comment. Bonnie will absolutely not sit on anything but carpet. In the morning when I go into the bathroom, she walks in then realizes she wants to sit down, so she backs up just enough to put her butt on the carpet. In the kitchen, unless she is actively easting something off the floor, she will lay on the carpet and peer around the dishwasher waiting for food to fall. In the living room, she will not sit on carpet, but prefers to sit on the chair (your chair) or on the couch. The best, the absolute best, is when she can sit ON us. Anything short of that is unacceptable. You will never be able to teach her that the floor she was soo use to is an acceptable alternative to what she now knows as ultimate comfort. Give up now, she will be on the chairs forever. And who cares... dogs are warm and cuddly in the winter :)

Erika and Sammy, I know I should listen to the two of you-- you were right about the dog bed and a number of other things. BUT the Monks say they can be taught to stay off unless invited. Of course, they work with German shepherds, not cardigans!!!

no help here, LOL; Koda is on the furniture, the bed, etc. Spoiled he is. He doesn't understand two things, that he's a dog and what "no" means. she does look cute on the chair :)
