Check it out!!

Guess who was lucky enough to be chosen as a "Blue Ribbon Blogger" by Laurie Eno over at The Daily Corgi?  I was!  You can check out the post here.  I know that a lot of my small, but faithful "following" came to me over the years by way of The Daily Corgi. I can't tell you how excited I am to be featured on Laurie's very well-read blog!

I'm off now to start choosing some photos of Pumpkin for when she'll have her day on The Daily Corgi!

Resistance is futile

You know how I said I couldn't resist buying the Corgi Toys car?  Well, I couldn't resist buying this little guy, either.

He was labeled a "planter" but there are no drainage holes in his undercarriage, so I'm not sure how successfully something will grow, but I think I might try a Christmas Cactus cutting.

Another thing I couldn't resist was taking this photo, even though I knew the morning dark of the hallway wouldn't make for a good shot.  

It didn't help that the girls started moving as soon as I got close!  Maybe the next thing I should invest in is a telephoto lens.  And a little more "stay" training...

Corgi Toys -- Update

Well, I guess these Corgi Toys are quite the rage!  I had no idea!  I think I got quite the steal, based on what I read here, and considering as Lois commented earlier, that I have the box in excellent condition AND its "Join the Corgi Club" mail-in form.  (The dealer I purchased the car from claimed to be selling it to me for only a little more than he paid for it.  I thought he was saying that just to make the sale...but based on some of the eBay listings, it seems he might have been telling the truth!)

I don't think I'll be collecting any more Corgi Toys, but I'm sure happy to have the one I do!

I couldn't resist

Last week, we spent some time scouting the antique malls and shops in Adamstown, Pennsylvania.

We bought a few treasures (in our opinions!) but the best was something Erika spotted and I purchased:

The Corgi Toys box alone would be cool enough for a lover of Corgis, but look what's inside the car:

It's a Pem, not a Cardi, but that's OK.  

Of course, none of us would ever let our precious dogs ride on the rear shelf like that (although I remember riding in the same spot in my parents' car many, many years ago!)
