The past week

Our beloved/hated Cottonwood tree got a make over.

Within the newly-thinned Cottonwood tree, I saw this lovely.

Pomegranates coming along nicely -- but not as many as previous years.

Zinnia!

Another variety of Zinnia.

Misty morning.

I love Independence Day.

Between three houses -- our neighbors on each side and us -- we routinely fly 6 American flags.  This is the newest addition, on a flag pole installed by our right-hand neighbors just last week.  (On The 4th, the 3-house flag count went up to 13 not counting those inside our houses.)

Poor Darby.  She was such a good sport while I teased her with the tennis ball.

My potato crop for this year.  Pathetic, but it inspired me to expand my potato planting beyond just four starts next year.
I didn't just tease her with the ball.  I threw it...

and she tried to catch it.  She succeeded this time, even though I didn't manage to catch a photo.  It's hard to throw the ball with one hand and operate the camera with the other!

All-in-all, it was a good week.  I hope yours was, too!
