Sometimes it just doesn't turn out

So.  Yesterday evening I noticed the sky and the leaves on one of our neighbors' pretty trees reflected in a puddle of water on the concrete.

Conveniently, Darby was standing in the puddle.

I whipped my camera out and started shooting what I was sure were going to be some awesome artsy-fartsy photos.

Well, they looked a lot more artsy while I was shooting them; now they just look rather fartsy.

Oh, well.  I'm sure Ansel Adams was disappointed with how some of his photos turned out, too!

I've had that same disappointment many times! But all the practice means you get some you love too!

I've never been able to put the beauty of a reflection in a photo. It just has never turned out for me because the first thing I see is always what's surrounding the reflection, so it looks like nothing. I'm sure someone will take a great picture of a reflection, but it won't be me.

Wow, I think these two pix are pawesome! I can totally see the tree and with a little puppy paw thrown in I find it to be very artsy. Nice!
