I'm obsessed with Ears

I've become obsessed with Darby's ears.

Here's how they looked at a couple of weeks ago:



Here's how Bonnie's ears looked at about the same age:



Glenn won't help me tape her ears because he thinks it's mean and he likes them the way they are, so I am waiting to coordinate things with a very busy Pembroke breeder who has graciously agreed to help me.

And, in the meantime, I keep thinking about ears and looking for signs that Darby's ears are going up on their own.

I even dreamed about ears last night!

Odd Creatures

Ever since Erika brought Bonnie home to live with her, I have marveled at what odd-looking creatures Cardigan Welsh Corgis are.

Sometimes they remind me of possums.

And sometimes, like in this photo:



they make me think of grubs!

A Yardstick of Sorts

Our neighbor Paul, handed a rope chew toy over the back wall the second day Darby was with us. His Jack Russell, Jackie, loves them and he wanted Darby to have one, too.

It is quite a chew toy! See how Darby compared to it in size that first day?

A bit of a difference, huh?



It's just a little sad that already, most of her round puppy-ness is already gone!
