Sacked out on a too-hot, too-soon afternoon

So, the thermometer in our backyard read 93 around 2:00 yesterday afternoon.  I think it is interesting that the "peak" temperature time varies so much.  In Davis, California, about 500 miles north of us where Erika went to University, the temperature peaks around 4:00 or even 5:00. Of course, it also stays light much later up there, but not as light as in Whitefish, Montana where the sun was still in the sky at 10:30 p.m. when Glenn, Erika and I visited there in June a few years ago.

But, I digress.

Whatever time the temperature peaked yesterday, it peaked too HOT for so early in the year!  I don't like hot weather.  It doesn't seem to bother the girls, but they also didn't mind sacking out in the cool house.

We had pouring rain, low 50's and very windy.....I'll take 93 degrees over that! I was, however, surrounded by Cardigans puppies of several ages so it did make the icky day much more bearable :-)

Hey Darby!
Wow, your hot weather sounds great to me! That would mean I could do some water sports. Gee, here it was 40 degrees and we had hail! Nasty. Trade ya?!?!

Don't worry. You're not alone with the killing heat. I suggest some frozen yogurt ;)

We totally understand hibernating in the house during the hot weather. We hope you can enjoy those glorious mornings outside for a bit longer.
