We had a wonderful time with Erika and Christian. So much so that I can't do just one word this Wednesday. But, trying to say much more than one word right now when I am still missing her very much is difficult. Glenn and I so totally lucked out with this child of ours -- cheerful, calm, smart, responsible, funny, enthusiastic, never an ounce of trouble (well, maybe a few small things, but nothing of any consequence at all.) We couldn't have asked for more.
Yesterday morning, she and Christian woke up in her old bedroom here in our house in California and last night they fell asleep in their home in Virginia. And, we are here missing them.
Missing them very much!
(Corgi content tomorrow...I promise!)

It's always quiet when they go. You'll have to be winging your way eastward in the near future.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
So who will be the ones to move? You headed east or are they going to head west ? ;-)
Awwwww, Mom, I know she misses you too....
Daisy, we are lucky that we' will get to see them again soon. Taryn, they seem to like Virginia very much and both have good jobs there, so I think we will be heading east in a few years. Whenever we tell people that most of them can't believe we would leave Southern California. People who love it here love it with a passion that is almost religious. I definitely don't feel that way!
Lois, the nice thing is, she does miss us, too. Of course, not with the same intensity as we do her! I'm getting paid back for the year in 1972-1973 that I spent in Italy far from my parents. Each letter from my mother told me how much they missed my 19 year old self and wanted me to come home. I missed them too, but was having way too much fun and definitely didn't miss them with the intensity! That's the way life works!
I know you kids love San Diego but I think you would truly adore Virginia ( I hail from Maryland, but North Carolina has been home for 30 yrs. now and I love it ! ) And hey, that girl misses you plenty :-) for sure...
