Chicks
My daughter is nothing if not enthusiastic and willing to try new things. Moving to a neglected farm and a partially-renovated 133 year old farm house isn't enough for her. She just had to have chickens so she can have eggs next spring. Lots of eggs. 5 chickens from each of three breeds PLUS a bonus rare or heirloom chicken who in her case turned out to be a Transylvanian Naked Neck or "Turken." He -- or she -- is my favorite!

Our grandpa went all back to nature once and bought some chicks for future egg-laying. They were all roosters!
