Like Dr. Brazelton--but for Dogs
Back in 1984 when Erika was born, the "in" baby doctor was T. Berry Brazelton. He had a daily TV show on the Lifetime Channel or whatever it was back then. How I loved watching his show! The information he offered was sensible and reassuring and helped me gain confidence in myself as the primary caretaker of a very important, helpless, needy creature.
And here I am, 25 years later, the (nearly) sole caretaker of another helpless, needy creature.
My guru this time?
The Monks of New Skete (as well as Erika, Jane my CCI puppy-raiser friend, and Darby' first mom, Leda.)
With all that help, maybe Darby will turn out better than Erika did.
(Just kidding!)

Hi Darby,
Looks like things are going well. You lookin' real good. Did you see I put pictures of mom and dad and grandma Jolee on my blog.
Hope to hear from you sometime.
Your brother Sammy.
Hey, Sammy.
Good to hear from you. I did see the pictures of mom, dad and grandma Jolee--we sure come from some good looking stock, don't we?
I am getting used to things around here, but I do not like that leash thing. I bite it and complain whenever my new human mom makes me wear it.
She is very happy with me because I am sleeping all the way through the night without having to go out! I do wake up at 5:00 am--but that's OK, she usually does, too.
I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but it wouldn't let me. Maybe something is set funny.
Love, your sister Darby
Hi Darby,
I find that my human has to sign into google then she can help me leave a comment. So far, so good.
Sammy
